Friends, chat & mail
Mebula Legends plays fine alone. But it plays better with others.
Consent for chat and mailbox
Guild chat and mail to and from players are only available with your consent. Global chat is open to everyone. It allows team members to read your messages if a rule violation, a breach of the Terms of Service or a criminal offence is suspected. This is laid down in the Bitmeup privacy policy.
- Guild chat and mailbox have separate checkboxes. If you only consent to guild chat, player mail stays locked, and the other way round.
- Guild chat and mailbox only show their own consent. It applies once you click Confirm.
- You can change or withdraw both in the settings under Account & help, where Update privacy saves them.
- Without guild chat consent guild chat is locked. Without mailbox consent you cannot write to players and do not see player mail. Mail from the team and from Bit, including attachments, still arrives.
- You cannot write to a player who has not consented to the mailbox.
- You can withdraw each consent at any time. The team may still review messages from the period with consent.
- The game is fully playable without both features.
Friends & gifts
| Value | |
|---|---|
| Maximum friends | 30 |
| Open outgoing requests | 10 |
| Gifts | 1 per friend and day |
A daily gift is 2 small energy packs (10 energy each). It costs you nothing. You are not giving away anything from your own stock.
Why packs instead of energy
A pack lands in the inventory and waits there. Direct energy would evaporate at the energy cap if your storage happens to be full.
Uncollected gifts expire after 7 days. While gifts are waiting for you, a counter on the Friends menu entry shows how many.
Reinforcement
Once a day you can borrow a Mebuli from your friends. The borrowed Mebuli does not fight itself, it reinforces your entire team for the rest of the day:
Bonus = 4 % + 0.08 % per level of the borrowed Mebuli, capped at 12 %The bonus multiplies attack, defence and HP of your whole team in story, dungeons, realms, tower and guild boss fights, not in the arena.
When your Mebuli is borrowed you receive 25
Mebuli dust per use as thanks, collected when you pick it up.
Chat
The chat has two channels: Global for everyone and Guild for the members of your guild. Private messages to single players go through the mailbox.
| Value | |
|---|---|
| Message length | up to 300 characters |
| Pause between two messages | 1.5 seconds |
| History when you join | the last 24 hours, at least 3 and at most 200 messages |
| Links | only to bitmeup.com |
| Editing your own message | up to 20 minutes after sending |
| Reactions per message and player | up to 3 different emojis |
| Translate | on click, into the language you set in the game |
| Retention | 14 days, then the message is deleted |
Messages from today only show the time, older ones also show the date.
On mobile there is one chat icon with a counter for all unread messages from Global and Guild. You switch channels inside the open chat.
You can edit your own message for 20 minutes. The old text is replaced and the bubble then carries a small "edited" mark.
You can reply to any message: pick "Reply" in the bubble's menu (right-click on desktop, long-press on mobile). Above the input you then see whom you are replying to, and your message carries a small quote with the first words of the original at the top. Clicking the quote jumps to that message in the history.
You can react to any message with emojis: right-click the bubble on desktop, long-press it on mobile. The menu opens with six quick reactions, the plus opens the full emoji board. Clicking a reaction you already set takes it back. If a message has reactions, the same menu also shows who reacted with which emoji.
You can translate other players' messages: pick "Translate" in the same menu. The bubble briefly shows "Translating …" and then the text in the language you set in the game. Below it you can switch between the translation and the original. If the message is already in your language, it says "Already in your language". Translations are done by Microsoft Azure Translator.
Every message can be reported (spam, insult, scam, inappropriate, other) with a note of up to 200 characters. Advisors can also delete someone else's message directly, so spam does not sit there until a moderator looks. Team messages are excluded.
A reported message is kept for review, even beyond the 14 days. 90 days after the report has been handled, report and message are deleted. Mail between players in the mailbox is not affected.
An advisor can go invisible via the eye in the chat header: green means they are listed in the "advisors online" bar and open to questions, red and crossed out takes them out of that bar. This only affects that bar. Friends and guild notice nothing, and the badge stays on their messages.
Clicking a name opens the player profile.
Mailbox
The mailbox is how rewards reach you that do not drop directly in play: daily tasks, season rewards, gifts, events. Bit, your companion, also gets in touch here with hints and small gestures. You can also write to other players here.
Mail is sorted into folders, each with its own counter:
| Folder | Contents |
|---|---|
| Inbox | everything you received |
| Gifts | messages with an attachment you have not collected yet |
| System and Bit | automatic mail from the game, the Mebula team and Bit |
| Players | mail from other players |
| Sent | your own messages |
| Support | your tickets with Bitmeup support |
- On desktop the folder list sits to the left of your messages, on mobile you switch folders via a bar.
- Search looks through sender, subject and text.
- With Select you mark several messages and mark them read or delete them in one go.
- Collect all collects every open attachment with one click, without opening each message.
- Use Compose to write to a player. From 3 letters on the game suggests matching names. The subject is optional and may be up to 80 characters long, the text up to 2,000 characters.
Notifications
The bell collects short notices: unlocks, tips and events such as a new join request, an invitation or your admission to a guild. Some notices carry a link that takes you straight to the right place.
A deleted notice stays deleted and does not come back.
Whether the bell, the mailbox and the chat icon are always shown, never shown or only shown when something is unread is set in the settings under Game configuration.
Feedback
Social > Feedback opens a small window for feedback to the team. You pick what it is about (Bug, Idea, Problem or Other) and write a few lines, at least 5 and at most 1,500 characters. The game sends your current screen, version and language along automatically.
If you need an answer to a specific issue, Bitmeup support is the better route.
Leaderboard
The leaderboard compares players across several axes, among them combat power (your highest value so far), arena points and the floor reached in the Endless Tower.
NPC players
So the world feels alive even in quiet hours, NPC players populate the leaderboard, the arena opponent lists and a few guilds. They are rule-based extras without AI. Occasionally they speak up in chat. Their lines are generated purely server-side from fixed building blocks.
