Transcendence
Transcendence is how you push a Mebuli past the ceiling of its rarity. A common Mebuli you have grown fond of can end up fighting near legendary level, but only if you earn it.
Requirements
A Mebuli can enter the path when all of this holds:
- It is the final evolution of its line (cannot evolve further).
- It is not legendary or mythic (those Mebulis are excluded, they are already at the top).
- You apply a transcendence crystal to it. This happens together with opening star 1: you need the crystal and the fragments for star 1 at once.
The level cap grows with the stars: each star raises it by one rarity tier, up to 100.
Once you own a final stage that is not legendary, the Mebuli menu gets a Transcendence entry. It lists all your final stages sorted by state: star ready, tasks running, fragments or crystals missing, fully transcended.
Steps (stars)
How many steps a Mebuli can take depends on its starting rarity, the path always ends just below legendary level:
| Starting rarity | Steps | Level cap per star |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 4 | 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 |
| Uncommon | 3 | 70, 80, 90, 100 |
| Rare | 2 | 80, 90, 100 |
| Epic | 1 | 90, 100 |
| Legendary / Mythic | excluded | 100 |
Each star grants +6 % on the whole combat block (attack, defence, HP, Ult Power and Ult Defense), additive, not multiplicative. A fully transcended common Mebuli therefore carries +24 %.
The real rarity never changes
A "virtual" rarity is displayed per star. The actual rarity stays as it was, dust rates and evolution costs hang on it. The level cap follows the stars instead.
Earning a star: the tasks
Every star is first opened and then earned through 4 tasks in normal play.
- Opening costs final-stage fragments of the Mebuli, paid immediately. The cost follows the evolution scale of the respective virtual target rarity: 40 for uncommon, 90 for rare, 180 for epic, 350 for legendary. A common Mebuli therefore needs 40, 90, 180 and 350 fragments in turn.
- The star to legendary additionally costs 3 transcendence crystals. All stars before it cost fragments only. Together with the crystal for star 1, every Mebuli needs 4 crystals to reach legendary. An epic Mebuli therefore pays 4 crystals at once when opening star 1.
- After that the 4 tasks run at the same time. Each finished task grants +1.5 % immediately on the combat block. Once all 4 are done the star is complete: +6 %, next virtual rarity, higher level cap.
| Task | What counts |
|---|---|
| Deployment | Wins with the Mebuli in the team |
| Role | Attacker: damage dealt · Tank: damage blocked · Healer: healing from its own Ultimate |
| Type | Wins against opponents of 2 fixed types: one the Mebuli is weak against and one it hits with an advantage |
| Progress | New stages with the Mebuli in the team: first clears of missions in Story, Elemental Realms, Prism Rift and Shadow Journey, new floors in the Tower and in dungeons, plus every fully cleared dungeon run |
| Star | Wins | Type wins | New stages | Role target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 | 8 | 2 | × 1 |
| 2 | 25 | 12 | 3 | × 2 |
| 3 | 35 | 16 | 4 | × 3.5 |
| 4 | 50 | 20 | 5 | × 5 |
The role target is set when the star is opened. It depends on the Mebuli's combat stats (attack for attackers, HP for tanks and healers) and grows per star by the factor in the table.
Role: Healers are Mebulis with a healing Ultimate. A tank is a Mebuli whose defence and Ult Defense together are at least as high as its attack and Ult Power. All others are attackers.
Counting rules
- Only wins count.
- The Mebuli has to be in the fighting team, in the Arena in the Arena team.
- Story, Shadow Journey, Elemental Realms, Prism Rift, Endless Tower, dungeons and Arena count.
- Repeated stages and Arena fights count without a daily limit.
- Quick complete counts for wins and type wins, each run like one win. For the role value you have to play real fights.
- You can follow the progress in the Mebuli details in the "Transcendence" tab and after every fight in the victory window.
Collecting fragments
Fragments of a final stage that can transcend are collected: without a crystal up to the requirement of star 1, with a crystal up to the requirement of all open stars. Only the surplus beyond that becomes dust. Fragments of legendary and mythic Mebulis always turn into dust.
For fragment sources see Getting Mebulis.
Getting transcendence crystals
The crystal is used up when opening star 1. In the inventory it leads to the Transcendence menu. You get crystals here:
- in the Mebulit shop of the bazaar
- through the Afterglow in the Resonance Chamber: legendary and mythic Mebulis at max level collect a crystal there roughly every 24 hours, faster in the Resonance Core and as a mythic Mebuli
- as a tier gift at VIP 7
- as a first-purchase bonus of some Mebulit packs
- in the Bits shop of the Bitmeup portal
Is it worth it?
Do the maths soberly: +6 % per star corresponds roughly to one rarity band in win probability. A fully transcended common Mebuli therefore fights at about legendary level, but costs 16 tasks, four fragment batches and four crystals.
One crystal, two roads
The same crystal also refines an equipment piece in the Forge. Ask yourself what is holding your team back more right now: a Mebuli that is too weak, or an equipment slot that is.
