Arena

The Arena is the competitive endgame: you fight other players' teams asynchronously (or scaled AI opponents when no suitable players are near your rating), earn League Points (LP) and climb through the leagues.

Unlocked from Chapter 2. The arena is split into tabs: Battles, Arena team, Season, Ranking, Defense, Marks shop and Rules.

Your arena team

In the Arena team tab you field up to five Mebulis that attack for you and defend your rank in the arena.

  • This team is independent of your active team. You can switch your active team for story, hard missions or quests at any time without changing your arena team.
  • Your arena Mebulis may be training in the Resonance Chamber or away on a quest and still fight in the arena.
  • When you save, your arena team takes on the gear your chosen Mebulis are currently wearing. If you re-equip them elsewhere later, the arena loadout is preserved (and later gear upgrades still apply).
  • The front row (slots 1–3) stands in front, the back row (slots 4–5) behind.

How it works

  1. Set up your team in the Arena team tab (once; it's stored as your defense).
  2. In the Battles tab pick one of the suggested opponents and hit Fight. You can only attack players within your points range (at most 300 points above or below you). In addition there are always three arena guardians at Easy, Even and Hard, tuned to your line-up. The opponent list is redrawn at 0:00, 6:00, 12:00 and 18:00.
  3. The battle runs automatically. Your arena team fights with rows and ultimates, but without your input. Your line-up is frozen when the battle starts. Anything you change afterwards only counts in the next battle.
  4. A win grants league points + a small reward, a loss costs points (never below 0, and never below your league floor, see below).

An attempt counts as soon as the battle starts. If you leave a running battle, the attempt is still gone. The open battle is resolved at the latest when you start your next one, and a loss then costs league points as usual. Aborting and restarting gains you nothing.

You get 5 attempts per day (reset at midnight German time). Mebula Plus members get one extra attempt every day, and VIP level 3 and VIP level 6 add one more each. If that's not enough, you can buy up to 5 more attempts a day with gems (20 gems, then 40, 60 and so on).

Leagues & promotion

Leaguefrom points
Bronze Bronze0
Silver Silver400
Gold Gold900
Platinum Platinum1500
Gems Diamond2200
Boss Master3000

How many points a fight gives or costs depends on the rating and above all on the opponent's power compared to your arena team. Much weaker opponents grant almost no points and cost more on a loss, stronger opponents grant more. The card shows the points for a win and a loss before the fight.

Demotion protection: once you reach a league, you can't drop below it within the season. Your league floor keeps you up. When you're promoted to a higher league, a short promotion message appears after the battle. Demotion only happens at the weekly season reset.

Ranking

The Ranking tab shows the strongest league fighters. The order comes from League Points; ties are broken by your arena team's power.

Defense

When another player attacks you, your arena team automatically defends, even while you're offline. In the Defense tab you see who attacked you and whether your defense held. For every successful defense you earn arena marks, credited together the next time you open the arena.

Rewards

  • Per win: 3 Gems Gems + 12 Arena mark Arena Marks + 1 Ultimate fragment Ultimate Fragment (a loss still gives 3 consolation marks).
  • Successful defense: 6 Arena mark Arena Marks (credited the next time you open the arena).
  • Season reward (weekly): At season end you can claim a reward matching your current league, more gems, marks and Ultimate Fragments in higher leagues (e.g. Bronze 20 Gems / 30 Arena mark / 4 Ultimate fragment … Master 250 Gems / 400 Arena mark / 30 Ultimate fragment). Afterwards your points are softly reset (to 60%, you keep an edge). Season reset: Monday midnight. The league and points you reached are recorded in the season history (Season tab).

Keep your arena team independent

Unlike before, your arena defense is no longer your active team but your own arena team. Set it up once in the "Arena team" tab, after that you can rebuild your active team freely without weakening your arena.

Why arena battles always run automatically

Otherwise a present attacker could steer while the absent defender could not. That is why only your line-up counts: team, levels, ultimates and gear.

Opponents

If no suitable real player is near your score, NPC players step in. Each day at most 3 real opponents are offered, and you can attack each of them only once a day. The rest is filled up so you can always use your attempts.

Every arena battle also grants 10 player XP, win or lose.
