Storage and upgrades
Storage shows all your equipment pieces. Here you filter, mark and salvage. Upgrades run through the Upgrade button on the item sheet, in Equipment and in Storage: Level up (level), Refine (rarity) and Ennoble (quality). Every step asks first and shows the cost and the new stats.
Gear Storage and Equipment appear in the menu from chapter 3, earlier with a gifted piece. The first actual refine step comes in chapter 4. At the top you see how full your storage is, plus your gear shards, transcendence crystals, Mebuli dust and upgrade fragments.
Storage and salvage
Unused pieces become gear shards, the feed for your best gear.
- All pieces sit in a tile grid, grouped by type. Filters: show (Not equipped, All, Equipped), type, stats, rarity and mark. With stats only pieces that carry every selected stat as a bonus remain, e.g. HP and attack. Sorting: newest, power, level, rarity or purity.
- Each tile shows its mark top left, the lock bottom left and the Mebuli wearing it top right. A yellow ring means equipped, a blue ring means assigned to a Mebuli in another team or in the resonance chamber.
- A click opens the item sheet: set mark and lock, stats, Upgrade, Equip to a Mebuli of the active team (with the power change per Mebuli) and Salvage with a confirmation. For equipped pieces, Open in Equipment takes you straight to the slot.
- Multi salvage selects many pieces at once. Equipped pieces, pieces assigned in other teams and locked pieces are left out.
- The history lists the equipment actions of the last 30 days: received, salvaged, upgraded, ennobled. Ennobling also lists the destroyed sacrifices.
- Yield: roughly 60 % of the base cost × the piece's level.
- Base cost by rarity: common 5 · uncommon 10 · rare 20 · epic 40 · legendary 80.
- Storage holds 60 unequipped pieces, more with the skill Inventory Expansion and VIP levels (see Equipment). Equipped ones do not count.
Salvaging is not a loss
A legendary ring no Mebuli needs is worth more as shards than sitting in storage. Keep enough room free that no drop goes to waste.
Level up (level)
Every piece levels from 1 to 15. Levels 2 to 10 add +8 % each to all bonuses, the master levels 11 to 15 add +4 % each. Level 10 sits roughly +72 % above the drop, level 15 roughly +92 %.
| Rarity | Shards (level L → L+1), up to level 10 | from level 10 (master levels) |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 5 × L | 10 × L |
| Uncommon | 10 × L | 20 × L |
| Rare | 20 × L | 40 × L |
| Epic | 40 × L | 80 × L |
| Legendary | 80 × L | 160 × L |
Master levels also cost upgrade fragments:
| Step | 10 → 11 | 11 → 12 | 12 → 13 | 13 → 14 | 14 → 15 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Upgrade fragments | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
Heavy armor and breaker trophies cost × 1.3 shards, the upgrade fragments stay the same.
Maluses do not grow
The attack malus on heavy pieces stays fixed when levelling up. Otherwise every level would make the piece better and worse at the same time.
Refine (rarity)
A piece climbs one rarity step while keeping everything that defines it: name, row, element, binding, archetype, level and its purity.
A value at the top of its old tier ends up at the top of the new one. For crit and dodge that is at least 1 point more on every type. Worn pieces stay equipped.
You pay with transcendence crystals, the same currency that opens a Mebuli's transcendence path.
| Target rarity | Crystals |
|---|---|
| Uncommon | 1 |
| Rare | 2 |
| Epic | 4 |
| Legendary | 8 |
Going from common all the way to legendary therefore costs 15 crystals.
How far may you refine?
Refining never runs ahead of your progress:
| Progress | Highest target rarity |
|---|---|
| Chapter 3 | no step possible yet |
| Chapter 4 | Uncommon |
| Chapter 6 | Rare |
| Chapter 8 | Epic |
| Story 1 fully completed | Legendary |
Refining is the plannable way up
Battle drops cap at rare everywhere: story 1, the Elemental Realms, the Prism Rift and the dungeons. Otherwise epic and legendary only come with a small chance from dungeon clears from grade II, from high-tier jewelry quests, the daily chest, the bazaar and the marketplace. Refining is how you make them on purpose. Better equipment means collecting crystals, not luck.
Ennoble (quality)
Ennobling raises the quality of a legendary piece. Each step adds +5 %, split evenly across all stats of the piece, at most +50 % in total (10 steps). Maluses get no quality, legacy pieces cannot be ennobled.
You pay with Mebuli dust, upgrade fragments and legendary sacrifices of any type, which are destroyed. The game preselects the sacrifices, cheapest first. Pick another swaps them. Every sacrifice is shown with its stats.
| Step | Quality | Dust | Upgrade fragments | Sacrifices |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | +5 % | 2,500 | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | +10 % | 5,000 | 2 | 1 |
| 3 | +15 % | 7,500 | 3 | 1 |
| 4 | +20 % | 10,000 | 4 | 1 |
| 5 | +25 % | 12,500 | 5 | 2 |
| 6 | +30 % | 15,000 | 6 | 2 |
| 7 | +35 % | 17,500 | 7 | 2 |
| 8 | +40 % | 20,000 | 8 | 3 |
| 9 | +45 % | 22,500 | 9 | 3 |
| 10 | +50 % | 25,000 | 10 | 3 |
Fully ennobling a piece costs 137,500 dust, 55 upgrade fragments and 19 sacrifices.
Only a piece nobody needs can be sacrificed: not equipped, not in another team, not in the arena team, the double duel or the resonance chamber, and not locked. The piece you ennoble may be equipped. Quality stays when you level up and grows with the level.
Upgrade fragments
Upgrade fragments (formerly ultimate fragments) are a separate currency for your Mebulis' ultimates and for equipment (master levels and ennobling). You get them from dungeon milestones, the arena and the shop.
Where do transcendence crystals come from?
| Source | Details |
|---|---|
| 12 Mebulit per crystal | |
| in the Bazaar, each week one crystal for 20,000 and a second for 40,000 Mebuli dust | |
| Legendary and mythic Mebulis at max level fill the Crystal Collector in the Afterglow: 1 crystal per 24 hours of Mebuli time | |
| Achievements & events | occasionally via system mail |
A crystal has two uses and you have to choose: either one equipment piece one rarity higher, or one Mebuli sent onto its transcendence path.
Where do I equip gear?
